Starting in the 2015 vintage, the oldest vines (+30 years old) that used to be destined to the entry-level Monastrell are now fermented separately for this highly expressive Vino de Finca that clearly stands a step above and includes a bit of Garnacha in the blend. Dark fruit (ripe plums) and scrubland notes, very much in the Mediterranean style. A juicy, aromatic red and another smart buy from Casa Castillo. 91 puntos
