Join us at our wine party in Lavinia Madrid on November 8th

Valeria, Nuria, Roberto, Fernando and Linda are the winners of the five tickets for our impending wine party in Lavinia Madrid. If you are not among the lucky ones, make sure you don’t miss the chance to taste some wonderful wines with us. Tickets cost €30 and can be purchased on Lavinia’s website.
We think it’s really worth it. Just check out the list of producers who will join us for the occasion. It is packed with exciting names that prove the amazing diversity of Spain’s wine scene. With some producers pouring their wines in Madrid for the first time and other established names bringing their latest projects, there is plenty to discover. Additionally, SWL has taken particular care to ensure that all the wines are different from the ones served at last year’s party.
Producers
Península Vinicultores. This venture, set up by Masters of Wine Andreas Kubach and Sam Harrop, has quickly expanded. Apart from Gredos, they are producing txakoli in Bizkaia and whites and reds in Rioja Alavesa in partnership with Basque entrepreneur Gorka Izaguirre.
Isaac Cantalapiedra. Terroir-driven Verdejo from La Seca in Castilla y León. This young producer works outside DO Rueda.
Cal Tiques. Tiny, lovely project set up by Joan Rubió, former winemaker at Recaredo in Penedès who masters skin contact, natural wines.
Can Sumoi. Natural wines by Raventós i Blanc. Grapes are sourced from a property at 600 metres above sea level in DO Penedès.
Son de Arrieiro. With considerable experience working the vineyards of Ribeiro, Xulia Bande now runs her own project.
Frontonio. This producer is Aragón’s new star. Party goers will have the chance to get a taste of his new, recently released top range of wines, El Jardín de las Iguales, retailing above €150.
José Gil. This talented producer is a member of the new generation of young winemakers working the vineyards of San Vicente de la Sonsierra in Rioja.
Txakoli Ameztoi. Get a taste of these Atlantic-styled whites made in Getaria and of their amazing rosé.
César Márquez. A rising star in Bierzo. Wine is in his DNA given that he is the nephew of well-known winemaker Raúl Pérez.
Bodegas Fulcro. A true garagiste in Rías Baixas, Manuel “Chicho” Moldes is focused on producing terroir-driven Albariño and Atlantic reds.
Ojuel. In the Moncalvillo mountains in Rioja, Miguel Martínez has recovered supurao, a traditional sweet wine made from dehydrated grapes. He also produces terroir-driven wines.
Doniene Gorrondona. Outstanding txakoli made by the sea in Bakio (Basque Country) including one of the best red wines in the DO Bizkaiko Txakolina.
Mauro Estévez. This family of grape growers who lovingly tend their vineyards in Ribeiro, will bring their Lado, a rare grape variety traditionally planted in the area.
Tentenublo. Roberto Oliván is Rioja’s enfant terrible. He is a successful winemaker working his own vineyards in the small hamlet of Viñaspre where he was born. A model to follow.
Ca’ di Mat. The relentless team behind Fedellos de Couto and Peixe in Galicia is now making wines in Sierra de Gredos.
Bodegas Vidas. Growing grapes in Cangas (Asturias) in northern Spain is a heroic task. Be ready to discover this amazing terroir and its expressive grape varieties.
Sílice. Also working outside the appellation, this producer is behind some of the most ambitious (and expensive) single-vineyard reds sourced from the steep slopes of Ribeira Sacra.
Magna Vides. A great chance to meet Pablo and Andrea, grape growers in La Aguilera (Ribera del Duero) and taste their terroir-driven wines.
Verum. This winery is setting new standards in Castilla-La Mancha thanks to the recovery of indigenous grapes like Tinto Velasco. Party goers will also be able to taste their new Airén sourced from old, ungrafted vineyards.
Viñedos Verticales. A new way of making Moscatel grown on Málaga’s Axarquía, home to some of the steepest vineyards in Spain.
Primitivo Collantes. “Primi”, as his friends call him, is a great ambassador of the wines from the Sherry Triangle. His wines are pure pleasure.
Javi Revert. One of the producers who is rewriting the rules of Mediterranean wines in Valencia.
Curii. Violeta Gutiérrez de la Vega and Alberto Redrado focus their efforts on working with indigenous varieties and traditional vineyards in Alicante’s Marina Alta region.
Puro Rofe. Conscientious grape growers making exciting wines from the volcanic soils of Lanzarote.
Mas de Mancuso. Winemaker Jorge Navacués, an outstanding connoisseur of Garnacha in Aragón, brings his own range of wines.
La Cantarada de los Mozos. An almost secret project in Rioja Alavesa based on old vines. Tiny amounts but really exciting wines.
Venus La Universal. René Barbier and Sara Pérez will bring their latest releases: high-altitude Garnacha from La Figuera in Montsant and an original rosé made in Tarragona.
La Loba. Ana Carazo’s wines show the character of the vineyards of Soria, a remote and little-known region in Ribera del Duero.
