An exhibition at the town’s exhibition centre featuring more than 50 wineries from Priorat and Montsant.

The 63rd edition of the Ribeiro Wine Fair returns with over 35 wineries and independent growers, featuring various activities such as a popular blind tasting and the Obradoiro de Cocina, where a couple of sommeliers will pair dishes from Galician restaurants with Ribeiro wines.

Each of the 20 wineries in the village of Porrera, in DOQ Priorat, offers two of its finest Cariñenas –wines that are often barrel-aged and will later be used in blends to produce each winery’s final wines.

A total of 26 wineries will take part in this event, featuring local wines from 13 producers in Gratallops and a further 13 invited from other villages within the DOQ Priorat, all of whom share the same philosophy: respect for the winegrower, the vineyard and the landscape. Some of the estates taking part include Álvaro Palacios, Clos Mogador, Sara y René Viticultors, Clos Figueras, Lectores Vini, Mas Doix, Sandra Doix, Vall Llach, Familia Nin Ortiz, Mas Alta and Mas d'en Gil.

The village of Villabuena in Álava is hosting another edition of Villabuena Wine Fest, a wine and food festival featuring the village’s leading wineries and restaurants, as well as artisan cheese and ice cream producers from Rioja Alavesa. There will be wine stands from the 18 participating estates, including Bideona, Izadi, Luis Cañas, La Marquesa and Hnos Frías del Val, amongst others.

More than 20 wineries from the Priorat DOQ, the Montsant DO and other regions will come together on the spectacular terrace of Cal Compte (1801), one of the most iconic manor houses in the Priorat, for this tasting limited to 150 people. Wines will be served with cheeses, oils from the Siurana PDO, breads and a rice dish with seasonal vegetables.

Alberto Tobes, head of experimentation at DO Ribera del Duero, presents this tasting, which includes whites from Bodegas Zifar and Prado Rey, alongside rosés from Valdepison, Arzuaga and Territorio Luthier, and reds from Bodegas Balbás, Monteabellon, Solar de Samaniego, Prado Rey, Ribón, Convento San Francisco, Emilio Moro and his Malleolus from Sanchomartin, Valle de Monzón, Comenge and, to finish, Parcela El Picón from Pago de los Capellanes

Winemaker and owner of Enteca Khantaros Alberto D'a Pena presents a tasting of the latest Vega Sicilia vintages: Macán 2021, Macán Clásico 2022, Pintia 2021, Alión 2021, Valbuena 5º año 2021, Oremus Vendimia Tardía 2024 and Oremus Aszú 3 ptt. 2022.

German precision and French finesse, presented by Pilar Cruces of Lust for Wine

The 12th edition of ‘Vinos de España Una Pasión’ returns to Seville, featuring more than 40 wineries from different regions of the country, including Fefiñanes, Abadía Retuerta, Casal de Armán, Sabaté y Coca, Emilio Hidalgo (the event organiser), Barrero, Bernabeleva, Mas Doix, Doniene Gorrondona, Ferrer Bobet, Recaredo, Aseginolaza & Leunda and Contador, amongst others.

Madrid has undergone a remarkable transformation in a very short space of time, with vineyards spread across distinct regions, wineries producing a wide variety of wine styles, and grape varieties such as Garnacha and Albillo. Wines from various producers will be tasted.

Nowadays, we find wines in Valencia, Alicante, Murcia and the Balearic Islands that are a far cry from those overly dominated by alcohol and oak which, for a long time, made the Spanish Levante region seem rather uninteresting. This tasting aims to be not only a journey through the region and its local varieties, but also a tribute to several of these producers. Wines to be tasted include Rafael Cambra Casalabor 2024 (Arcos variety, Valencia), Celler del Roure Parotet 2022 (Arcos and Mandó, Valencia), 4 Kilos 2023 (Callet, Mallorca), Javi Revert Foradá 2022 (Arcos and Garnacha, Valencia), Pepe Mendoza Fierroca 2024 (Giró, Alicante), Cerrón La Calera del Escaramujo 2021 (Monastrell and Blanquilla, Murcia) and Casa Castillo Pie Franco 2020 (Monastrell, Murcia).

Ismael Gozalo, from Microbio Wines, together with other people from his village, Nieva, hosts a natural wine festival featuring over 25 national and international producers, including Tierra, Dani Ramos, Esmeralda García, Forlong, Oxer Bastegieta, Torremilanos, Dominio del Bendito, Clan del Vino, Teo Legido, Albamar, Puerta del Viento, Frisac, and Samuel Párraga, among others.

An opportunity to taste wines from these two classic Bordeaux regions with around two dozen producers including Château Calon-Segur, Château Lafon-Rochet, Château Pichon Baron, Château Lynch-Bages, Château Leoville Poyferre, Château Talbot, Château de Camensac, Château Suduiraut and Château Climens, among others.

Winegrowers, farmers, chefs and artisans get together to share wine, food and ways of working the land, in a setting where wine sits alongside other crafts. There will be talks, a tasting featuring producers such as Manin y sus muchachos, Baztango Xurie, Doniene Gorrondona, Jon Goenaga, Moraza, Hontza, Aristu, Alfredo Egia, Makatzak, Imanol Garay, Chateau Laffite, Domaine Lajibe, Bixente Indart, Ploia, Ugo, Tour Blanc and Sadon Huguet, dishes prepared by guest chefs (Ganbara, Arenales, Petit Grill Basque, Arotzenia and others), and a wine bar (after 17:00) open to the public.

Eslava is a small town in Navarre that is home to the Santa Criz Roman site—considered the most important Roman city in the north of the peninsula—and a cooperative winery, Bodega Eslava, which is the village's winemaking heart. It is here that wines from projects such as Bodegas y Viñedos Baja Montaña are born, as well as the wine that Viña Zorzal produces from Corella. Rebeca Lecumberri (Bodega Eslava), Félix Bariáin (Viñedos y Bodegas Baja Montaña), and Xabi Sanz (Viña Zorzal) will be in charge of uncorking and sharing the story of Eslava through its wines.

A tasting to explore some of Europe's finest wine-growing regions, highlighting the identity of the terroir and varietal expression with the following wines: Domaine Tempier, Bandol La Migoua 2017, Domaine Claude Dugat, Gevrey-Chambertin 2020, Château Lynch-Bages, Pauillac de Lynch-Bages 2016, Gaja Barolo Dagromis 2017 and Domaine François Cotat, Mont Damné 2023.

The 13th Terres dels Alforins Wine Fair takes place this year in La Font de la Figuera (Valencia), featuring tastings and wine sales from the association's 15 producers: Arráez, Belda, Bodegas Enguera, Celler del Roure, Clos de Lôm, Dominios de MGP, El Poblet, Javi Revert Viticultor, La Viña, Los Frailes, Los Pinos, Rafael Cambra and Vinya Alforí. There will also be live music and local food.

A tasting of Chilean wines rarely seen in Europe, featuring producers reviving long-forgotten varieties such as País and Cinsault, and allowing the landscape to speak without artifice; high-elevation whites and dry-farmed wines made by small growers.

A gastronomic and cultural event celebrating the close bond between Bilbao and Bizkaiko Txakolina, bringing together cuisine, txakoli and culture, featuring 20 wineries and over 60 wines, nine themed tastings, a presentation of the new vintage by sommelier Davide Dall’Amico – winner of the 26th Basque Country Sommelier Championship –, a food area with traditional food and pintxos, music and children’s activities.

This is the third edition of the run, which takes participants through some of Bodegas Bilbaínas’ most iconic vineyards, such as Viña Cores and Viña Cuervo, and features three categories: a 7-kilometre competitive race, a 4-kilometre non-competitive hike and a children’s race. The event will donate part of the money raised to FARO, the La Rioja Association of Relatives and Friends of Children with Cancer.

Wine distributor Vins Des Dieux brings together more than 30 national and international producers, including Dominio de Echauz, Dominio de Atauta, Celler del Roure, Tempos Vega Sicilia, Cortes da Cima, Marthe Henry and Domaine Tessier, with over 150 wines available for tasting. There will also be talks throughout the day.

Seventeen wineries along the Rías Baixas Wine Route offer free guided tours as well as activities such as hiking, blind wine tasting and cooking with wine. Julián, from wine merchant Terroir, leads a tasting focused on VDP estates — the association representing Germany’s elite producers — with nine wines illustrating the classification hierarchy: the entry level (Gutswein), expressing the regional character of Nahe and Mosel; village wines (Ortswein), reflecting the soil identity of Württemberg and the Pfalz; Premier Cru (Erste Lage); Grand Cru (Grosses Gewächs, GG); and two surprise wines.
