A field blend made from old, unirrigated vines grown on sandy soils at 560m elevation in Canyada, a hamlet in the Alto Vinalopó inner subarea. Fresh, late ripening varieties Arcos and Bonicaire are the perfect counterbalance to Monastrell. The few months of aging in tinajas (clay jars) provide an honest approach with bramble fruit, eucalyptus and earthy aromas. A really easy-to-drink red with some herbal and rustic notes, but with good length. A fresh, updated look at the wines of yesteryear. 16.0 points
