Peñín Wine Show

More than 400 exhibitors from 70 wine-producing regions will be present at the XXV Best Wines of Spain Show, organised by Guía Peñín. Around 2,000 wines with 90 or more points in the Guide will be available for tasting. The showroom is rounded off with a programme of tastings and masterclasses, including Cava, 100 years of Rioja, Garnachas from Campo de Borja or heroic viticulture in El Hierro, among others. On the morning of the 2nd there will also be a showroom.

Ardoaraba wine fest

Annual fair where you can taste some txakolis from Alava, wines from Rioja Alavesa and other guest DOs such as Rías Baixas or Cava in the marquees distributed throughout the city centre, where there will also be pintxos. To taste the wines, visitors must purchase vouchers that can be exchanged at the marquees or participating bars.

Jazz-electronic music and Montsant wines

KIW is a jazz-electronic trio blending jazz, funk, hip-hop, and electronic music into an immersive, boundary-pushing experience. Formed by Pau, Artur, and Ferran —on sax, drums, and bass— the group was born in Barcelona and continued their training at Berklee College of Music and The New School in New York. Inspired by Triphasic, they treat the computer as a fourth member, opening up their sound to improvisation with a strong visual dimension. Attendants will also be able to taste wines from DO Montsant during the show.

Marta Cortizas is a sommelier at El Celler de Can Roca and one of the most respected voices in today’s wine scene. Her accolades and professional journey endorse a precise and sensitive perspective that connects land and emotion. She has partnered with several renowned wine projects and is an active voice in the contemporary discourse on wine. At Festival Terrer, she will lead a tasting of wines made using respectful viticulture, where each bottle expresses the harmony between nature and craftsmanship.

Duclot wine tasting and pairing dinner

Duclot is a historic and influential Bordeaux négociant house owned by the Moueix family. Its box is a limited edition case containing nine of Bordeaux's most exclusive and prestigious wines: Château d'Yquem 2021, Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2021, Château Haut-Brion 2021, Château Margaux 2021, Château Lafite Rothschild 2021, Château Mouton Rothschild 2021, Château Cheval Blanc 2021, Château Ausone 2021 and Pétrus 2021. Christmas wine market

This wine shop in San Sebastian's old town presents its Christmas wine market with around two dozen producers and some 70 wines to taste, including producers such as Mendieta Osaba and Tobelos from Rioja, Recaredo, Rimarts and Alma Vinos, distributors with wines from various appellations.

The Winedrinkers in concert

Live performance by this Madrid band formed by friends who share a love of wine and music, featuring Curro Bareño on vocals (Vitícola Mentridana, Fedellos), Dani Landi on guitar (Comando G), Luis Gutiérrez on bass (The Wine Advocate; Rock & Wine), Pilar de Haya (Lavinia), Guillermo Maestro (Imagine The Music), and Francisco Simón (Red House Revival). During the concert, guests can enjoy wines from Méntrida made by vignerons A Pie de Tierra and Vitícola Mentridana. Admission includes a glass of wine.

Sustainability Day at DO Uclés

DO Uclés holds its 11th technical conference, entitled “Sustainability and profitability in the winery: water and soil management in the vineyard.” The conference will be held on-site and online, and will include presentations on calculating the water footprint in wine production, the importance of mycorrhizal fungi in the soil for vine sustainability and healthy soils, among other topics. A bus service will be available from Madrid, and registration is required.

Wines from Tuscany and Greece

The Association of Sommeliers of Navarra / Nafarroako Sumilleren Elkartea (ASN/NSE) ends the year with a double tasting led by Juancho Asenjo. On Monday 15th, the focus will be on Greece, a country undergoing a genuine revival, with native varieties as surprising as Assyrtiko, Xinomavro, Moschofilero, and Agiorgitiko. Its wines stand out for their saline character, balance, and great gastronomic potential. On Tuesday 16th, the tasting will feature Tuscany, whose wines are noted for their freshness, balanced acidity, and pure expression of the Sangiovese variety, with appellations such as Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, and Bolgheri.
