Sourced from schist soils in Cebreros (Ávila), vines are grown at 980m above sea level with a 32% slope. This is quite a different to the ready-to-drink Garnacha La Suerte de Arrayán. Tannins are firmer here and the wine has more depth, structure and mineral character. Fruit (red and black berries) notes are rather restrained (wait a few months before opening the bottle or decant), but the wine is balanced and harmonious without the overripe note which usually in other Garnachas grown on schist. 16.5 points
