2013 was a cold, difficult vintage that has translated into reds with rather hollow palates. That’s not the case in this wine, which has managed to maintain balance. A delicate nose with spicy and red fruit jam aromas is followed by a medium-bodied palate with good texture and unexpectedly fine tannins given the character of the vintage; pleasant cocoa flavours on the finish. 16.5 points
