Sold as a generic red, the oldest brand in Gomez Cruzado’s portfolio has adopted a modern look. It is a field blend of grapes sourced from old vines with a southern aspect in Sierra Cantabria’s slopes. The plants grow on whitish clay-limestone soils. Serious, mineral, ligneous notes on the nose with black fruit, smoked and spicy (incense) notes. Dense, mineral palate. A wine with a long future ahead. 16.5 points
