This white wine clearly benefits from some cellaring time. The fruit gains definition and the palate feels rounder without losing the sapid, mineral character that sets it apart from most commercial Verdejos from Rueda –in fact, it is sold as VT Castilla y León. Grapes are sourced from La Seca, a village with a long winegrowing tradition in the region. I loved the juiciness on the palate as well as the distinctive herbal character of the variety. 16.5 points
