2014 was an excellent vintage in Ribera del Duero and this is probably one of the most serious versions of Alión in recent years. Perfectly ripe, consistent fruit (dark plums) with smoked and dairy notes on the nose followed by a firm, finely textured palate with ripe tannins and more smoky nuances on the finish. 17.5 points
