Although it is made in tiny quantities (less than 2,000 bottles which sell out quickly), this is a fascinating, inspiring red that can still be found for less than €30 in Spain. A field blend from a very old vineyard in northern Tenerife, grapes are fermented with their stem and all together, including the whites. A very deep, aromatic red displaying wild herbs, crunchy red fruit and some spicy notes, this is really sapid an aerial and fills the palate with aromas rather than weight. Beautiful. 17.5 points
