Although he started focusing on Garnacha, Óscar Pasanau has recently released a Tempranillo blend from El Molar, a little-known area in Madrid’s Sierra Norte. It was aged in concrete for six months and for a short time in oak. Partial fermentation with stems adds rusticity as well as freshness. Lots of sweet, ripe fruit and bramble aromas followed by a fruit-driven palate. Really easy to drink. 3,874 bottles and 1,888 magnums have been produced. 88 points
