Awesome nose with floral (petals), herbal (lavender) and crunchy red fruit aromas revealing a cool climate. Bright acidity adds definition and length; mouth-watering palate. A vibrant red made with grapes sourced for very old vines planted in an area called Peña El Gato (The Cat's Rock). The name apparently comes from the fact that the area was so remote that not even cats dared to go there. Luckily, these vineyards have survived to bring lots of pleasure to wine lovers in the 21th century. 16.5 points
