Grapes are sourced from a plot planted in 1906 on schist-ferric soils. The wine was partially fermented with whole bunches (20%) and the wines were aged in 500-litre barrels. Ripe, relatively concentrated dark fruit with some tar aromas are followed by slightly bitter tannins. A bit warm on the palate, but there is balance here; it just needs time to open up. 16.0 points
