This red wine is made with all the Syrah grown by this producer (some of it used to be blended in Tres Patas in the past). Grapes are sourced from clay-sandy soils in the lower part of Méntrida (400m above sea level) as opposed to the granite soils found in Sierra de Gredos to the north. No wonder this is a warmer, fuller-bodied red with bags of fruit (dark plums, black olives) and an enveloping palate. 90 points
