Given that 2013 was a cool vintage, the wine shows herbal aromas as well as some stem notes (the wine was made with 50% whole bunch fermentation), but the wine offers notable freshness and Mencia’s distinctive character. Not many producers in Bierzo offer such a succulent version of their native red variety. 16.0 points
