Reds in Ribeiro are still trying to define their own style but the region counts on an almost infinite array of blends. This young red sees no oak and successfully blends in equal parts a rather tannic grape like Souson with Brancellao, a delicate and almost aerial variety, and Caíño, with good structure. Dark forest fruits, spices (black pepper) and ligneous aromas are followed by a savoury, fruit-driven palate with well-wrapped tannins. Nice Atlantic character. 88 points
