Light ruby colour as is usually the case with Rufete. Rather vinous and reduced at the start, it gradually opens up to display Rufete’s distinctive floral, smooth character (rose petals, talcum powder, aromatic herbs). A vibrant red reflecting the high altitude vines (800 to 900m) it comes from and delivering distinctive minerality, with graphite and almost metallic notes. Grapes are sourced exclusively from sandy, granitic soils. 91 points
