The wine is called Reto (literally “challenge” in English) to highlight the difficulties of making a high quality white in DO Manchuela. A single-varietal Albilla, grapes are sourced from various types of soils and the wine is aged with its lees unstirred. It delivers herbal and green notes on the nose followed by an unctuous palate with formidable minerality and saltiness. This white is worth cellaring and retails at an almost ridiculous price. 11,000 bottles were made in this vintage. 93 points
