La Solana 2014 Tinto

Suertes del Marqués, Valle de la Orotava

Fermentation in concrete vats included 15% of whole bunches; afterwards the wine was aged in barrels. Grapes are sourced from a 1.5ha plot with old vines trained with the traditional cordón trenzado system. The east-facing vines are grown at between 350 to 450m of altitude. An expressive, deeply aromatic red with lots of fresh fruit and forest flavours; long finish. 93 points
