Oak feels much more restrained than in past vintages. The wine is fermented and aged for six months in barrels plus an extra five months in stainless steel vats. Pale lemon colour. Somewhat closed on the nose but displaying finesse. Subtle smoked notes together with white fruit and fennel aromas. This is a balanced, savoury white that just needs a few months to completely integrate the oak. 16.5 points
