Medium ruby colour. 2012 was a hot vintage thus fruit comes in the form of black berries instead of the red fruit character which typically defines Carlos San Pedro’s reds. Moderate structure but juicy. Fresher than expected and mouth-watering palate leaning towards a long finish. A sensible choice within the 2012 vintage in Rioja. 16.5 points
