This is the most powerful wine within Casa Castillo’s range and the only one made entirely with a foreign grape variety; despite this, its essence is Mediterranean as Syrah has successfully adapted to the estate's characteristics. Dark purple colour. Very ripe character on the nose with plums, ink and meat juice aromas. Savoury, chewy and full-bodied; I would lay it down for a few months. 16.0 points
