A single-vineyard wine, grapes are sourced from a very old plot close to the sea in Tenerife’s northwestern corner. It boasts such a great diversity of grape varieties that it is referred to as the “Jurassic plot”. This wine is different from anything you have experienced before. It smells of fruit skins, hay, green olives — it even reminded me of a young sparkling wine. Mineral rather than fruity with an Atlantic, briny character. Fascinating and affordable. 94 points
