Indigenous red Loureiro has a long ripening cycle and is usually harvested in mid-October. Bunches are destemmed and aged for 12 months in 500-litre oak barrels. This has a really Atlantic character with forest berries, pine trees and tar aromas. It shows lively acidity on the palate with lots of green notes, yet it is savoury and balanced. Very far from the standard, ripe and relatively high alcohol Spanish reds. 15.5 points
