This wine is the opposite to the evocative Les Manyes. Carignan from slate soils grown at high altitude in the village of Torroja. Deep ruby colour. A bit reduced on the nose with lots of dark fruit (blackberry, plum) and earthy notes. Very high acidity from old Carignan vines and deep mineral flavours (stone, graphite). This dark concentrated red captures the essence of Priorat although it is very expensive and needs time in bottle to develop. 18.0 points
