Dark ruby colour. Lots of black fruit on the nose (blackcurrants, blackberries, plums) and kirsch with lively dried herb aromas on the background. This is a powerful, big red in tune with the very ripe 2011 vintage. Lively fruit on the mid-palate, with some black chocolate notes and firm, well-wrapped tannins that will keep it alive for the next four years. 16.5 points
