Alvear Pedro Ximénez de Añada 2011

Alvear, Montilla-Moriles

Amber. Intense and distinctive notes of raisins, dried figs, honey and caramel. Full-bodied, intensely sweet and rich, this is almost a sticky wine made out of sun dried grapes usually harvested in August. In contrast to the traditional soleras, Alvear pioneered the vintage-dated PX in two styles: young like this and barrel-aged. 91 points
