This wine comes from an ancient plot in the village of Santa Cruz, in the Bibei Valley almost on the border with Ribeira Sacra. Aged in foudres, it has become one of my favourites within Cía Vinos Telmo Rodríguez’s extended range of wines for its ability to capture the landscape it comes from. Fresh and herbal (rosemary) aromas counterbalance some kirsch notes. This is a singular, savoury red, with fine bitter nuances, minerality and a persistent finish. 17.0 points
