Deep ruby colour. Somewhat closed at the beginning displaying black liquorice, red and black plums and some violet aromas after some aeration. This is a red wine with weight on the palate, ripe fruit and toasty notes; perhaps less rich than the standard due to the fresh character of the 2013 vintage. A good Mauro anyway. 91 points
