2013 was a cool vintage in Ribera del Duero, so accordingly there’s less extraction than usual, less new oak and aging times were shortened. The result is a somewhat lighter, more approachable red wine, yet perfectly balanced. Deep to medium ruby colour. The nose shows jammy notes, ripe red fruit together with some dairy and balsamic aromas. This is a juicy medium-bodied Ribera with creamy flavours and far more balsamic than in previous vintages. Nice finish with liquorice notes. 17.0 points
