Sanchomartín is a distinctive plot with chalky soils which was planted in 1964 with massal selection from the family’s oldest vines. Deep purple colour. Clean, fragrant nose with concentrated fruit (black fruit jam) and cocoa aromas. This is a solid, consistent red with great acidity, juiciness and lovely length. Fine black chocolate and mineral nuances on the finish. Elegance does indeed exist in Ribera del Duero. 94 points
