Once the top-of-the-range wine within Mendoza’s portfolio, Santa Rosa manages to hold its place well despite the rash of trendy Monastrell single-varietals that the winery has released in recent years. With grapes sourced from the El Chaconero vineyard, this red displays complex red fruit jam and minty, dark chocolate aromas. Medium-bodied and balanced with smooth, round tannins and kirsch flavours on the finish. Harmonious Mediterranean style. 91 points
