The first vintage of a wine sourced from Olivier's own and other rented vineyards in Laguardia planted on limestone soils. The name pays homage to the vineyard's previous owner. Fermented with whole clusters and aged in 500-litre oak barrels and later in foudre, the style is very different from your average Rioja. Medium-bodied, balsamic and fruit-driven, it avoids extraction. A highly drinkable style yet showing depth. 16.5 points
