This wine confirms expectations for Galicia’s minority red grapes (Merenzao is the French Trosseau). It comes from a single-vineyard planted in front of the winery in 1999. It is a steep slope with southern exposure and distinctive schist soils. Light to medium ruby colour. Delicate and floral (petals, lavender) aromas with some strawberry notes on the nose. Lovely aromatic palate; juicy and savoury with lots of fresh fruit. Fine tannins, yet not lacking depth. 16.5 points
