The Muga family defines this wine as a "classic contemporary" meaning that it has evolved with the times without loosing its Gran Reserva character. Medium ruby colour with an orange rim. Complex and fine nose with lovely spiciness (cinnamon, tobacco, nutmeg and vanilla) and a lively red fruit background. Long lasting on the palate, with raspberry notes and complex oak aging flavours. This is Rioja at its best: a delightful, silky red with superb, fine tannins. 18.0 points
