This is a vino de pueblo (“village wine”) from the town of Elvillar where Sampedro has a large part of its vineyards. With a purplish ruby colour, this wine shows exotic floral aromas with notes of curry and concentrated fruit, as well as fresh herbaceous nuances, most likely from the Graciano. Structured on the palate, balsamic flavours are combined with a very good acidity. The wine is juicy and elegant, with smooth tannins. One of my favourites in the range. 16.5 points
