Medium ruby colour. Ripe and seasoned black fruit aromas, followed by café-au-lait and pencil lead nuances. Oak is rather prevalent but there seems to be enough fruit to absorb it. Tasty and savoury on the palate with polished tannins, although wood (toffee, roasted coffee) notes are also present. It finishes with toasty and kirsch flavours. It definitely needs time to integrate the oak. 90 points
