Medium ruby colour with tawny rim. Somewhat closed and reduced at the start, it develops towards complex coffee ground aromas, sweet spices, mint, chocolate and dried fruits. Very intense on the palate with a leathery character, good acidity and round yet textured tannins. This is a succulent and persistent Gran Reserva that really fits La Rioja Alta's style. 17.5 points
