Among the varieties recovered by Familia Torres, this is one of the most remarkable. Pirene is grown in Tremp (Lleida) between 830 and 940 metres elevation on limestone soils. Its colour is rather pale, and it offers generous aromas of red fruits and herbs, which become slightly bitter on the palate, almost reminiscent of vermouth. Superb acidity and aromatic depth on the palate, which lingers quite long. 17.5 points
