This red comes from a field blend of 60-to 80-year-old head-pruned vines from traditional vineyards planted on granite, schist and gneiss soils along the Bibei River, which marks the border between Valdeorras and Ribeira Sacra. A perfect introduction to Galician reds with whole-bunch fermented grapes, in this case with very well integrated tannins, herbal complexity, loads of fruit in the mid-palate and a juicy, deep mouthfeel. 94 points
