This red by Verónica Ortega really hits the spot. Beneath this thirst-quenching, low-extraction wine lies the depth of an old vineyard where Mencía mingles with other grape varieties that add complexity to the blend. The ageing in clay jars enhances the fruit to reveal wild berry aromas and subtle spicy notes. The palate is delightful: juicy, crisp and delicately textured. A must-try. 17.0 points
