Yet another proof of Rioja's increasingly exciting whites, in this case made from a lesser known grape variety. This wines sees no oak; instead, it spent one year in concrete eggs plus another year in bottle. Elegant and subtle with floral notes (talcum powder) and a hint of citrus, it is the kind of wine that will develop nicely in the bottle. The palate is deep and pleasantly textured. We love this new Rioja, even if production is, as in this case, very limited (1,200 bottles). 93 points
