Caíño Negro grapes are sourced from Finca Genoveva, a pergola-trained vineyard with very old vines (some plants are 180+ years old) on granite soils. The wine is fermented with some whole bunches and aged in a 1,500-litre foudre. It is a lively red, full of energy with black pepper, herbal aromas and an attractive fresh saline edge. Medium-bodied, vibrant and long. Still very young but enjoyable. Cellaring is also advisable. 94 points
