Explained cryptically on the label (note the veiled criticism against village wines having to come from the same location of the winery in Rioja), Samaniego is the new addition to Bideona's range of village wines. It was a warm vintage but the fruit is very well defined against a spicy background that adds complexity. This wine stands out against other reds in the range for its the fine, enveloping texture making it truly approachable and pleasant to drink from the very beginning. 17.0 points
