As part of his work in different areas in Zamora province (Toro, Tierra del Vino and Arribes), Alvar de Dios has his sights set on El Maderal, a village with distinctive clay soils on the border with Salamanca, to produce this white wine. Dona Blanca grapes are sourced from a plot with a northern aspect planted at 950 metres elevation in 1920 that provides both acidity and unctuousness. Fine creaminess from barrel ageing, serious palate and very good potential. 93 points
