There is a new twist for Capellanía in this very good vintage at Murrieta's estate in Logroño. Less time in barrel, a hint of American oak to make it more sapid and lots of freshness. Winemaker María Vargas says it may be a bit edgy, but she thinks it will gain ageing potential. In any case, we really enjoyed this white. It is consistent, still young with white fruit, nutmeg and buttery aromas. Very good acidity on the palate, great balance and a long finish with lovely salinity. 17.5 points
