This is a fun, different, easy-to-drink red and a straightforward, lighter version of Monastrell in Jumilla as it avoids extraction. The must is separated from the skins before fermentation is finished and it is then aged for a few months in concrete tanks. This is a fruit-driven red displaying the variety’s distinctive Mediterranean herbal character. Despite the heavy rains than preceded the harvest, the wine is fruit-forward and moreish. 16.0 points
