This vintage (first ever) really drew my attention when I first tasted it. Robertson is gradually decreasing oak use in his wines, but this 2007 is well-balanced and very much alive and kicking. Deep ruby colour. Complex aromas of roasted meat, cinnamon, blackberries and chicory coffee. A full-bodied offering with good acidity - a serious Garnacha that will keep developing in the bottle. 91 points
