This is the first vintage to be labelled as "Viñedo Singular", Rioja's new single-vineyard classification, yet the wine is produced since the 1985 vintage. Fine nose with smoked, floral and white fruit aromas; some aniseed notes on the background. Very good acidity that helps to outline flavours and adds persistence on the finish. Everything in the right place to develop nicely in bottle during the next few months. 16.5 points
